Really doesn't speak so kindly of USA and its values

Sounds like in an attempt to rid the United States from accountability as coconspirator to the genocide of Palestinians, they are also setting themselves up to have no voice on the international stage.

Why should the world look up to the opinion of genocidal tyrants?

Hitler broke a vital and important contract with others. Live and let live. The moment they broke that implicit contract they totally opened a can of worms and whoopass upon themselves. They totally earned it

More folk need to understand about the contract of tolerance and the golden rule.

That implies that we should all expect and deserve a status quo that is uncaring and hostile

Good. Considering that they roll in billions, I have no sympathy for them.

I will not shed a tear at the death of the advertisement based internet. Or the horrible things that it has motivated companies to do to maximize advertisement revenue.

You can do your part to lower your carbon footprint by eating the rich, who's status quo has been forcibly thrust upon us and make transitioning to better solutions unfeasible both fiscally and systemically.

Permissions is my favorite cheese. I enjoy some on my pasta dinner every night I get the chance to. Some days Im like 750 with my permission, maybe even 755 when we got guests over, but when I'm feeling hungry i bring out the 700 permission cheese

Excluding people based on sex at birth forces men into women's sports and women into men's sports.

For one, ones ability to express themselves through gender is just more natural than analyzing genomes and less awkward than genital groping to prove your sex.

Two, this wasn't a 9-alarm fire till the start of the decade. Trans people and their involvement with sports have existed far longer than that. Plus if people wanted to give a damn about fairness in sports, there's countless other discrepancies such as the (lack of) amount of funding and fanfare of women's sports that basically are given to those typically driven by men's sports. (Of which have no bearing of how well any athlete can do)

And three:

  • Trans women are women
  • Trans men are men And ...
  • Trans non-binary people exist that fall outside the groups above

This should be a society where in good faith, you can determine who you are. I would hate to live in a world where society tells you which box you belong in.

My favorite go-to for new users is Fedora. It's a community version of red hat Linux and i have to say the installer and built-in software should get you most the way through out the box.

My next recommendation is Vanilla Debian V12 Bookworm. I like Debian because it's a rock solid distro that's hard to mess up.

Besides the base OS, consider using either a KDE or Gnome desktop. Either should deliver a solid new user friendly UI.
