Two movies come to mind:

Alita Battle Angel (2019) might be the best Anime adaptation to date. It has become one of my favorite movies of all time. I guess it wasn't received badly, it has been barely received at all. This should have been a blockbuster, but most people aren't even aware the movie exists! It's such a shame, I really hope we get the follow up movies, because this one was great!

John Carter (2012) wasn't great, I have to admit. I can't argue with it's 6.6 rating on IMDb. It's a flawed movie, but it is so much fun! It's an epic pulp adventure! If you go in expecting just that, turn off your brain and just enjoy the ride, you will have a great time! People were really too hard on it, when it came out!

I recommend Radio Paradise! It's an independent online radio stream with a great, eclectic selection and no ads, except the occasional reminder that they are donation financed. It's honestly one if not the best radio stream there is.

So, the drama did help 😅

Oh, I see the case for the Necromancers! That makes total sense. Also I didn't see Beacon of Unrest, that's a better cut for sure. I always want to play it, but the mana cost is just too damn high.

Anyway, cool stuff! Let me know how it goes!

Got it! ~~In that case I'd recommend adding Demolition Field. I run it in almost all of my decks.~~ (On second thought you have enough non-basic hate, so this is too clunky in comparison)

I'd probably cut Tsabo's Web for a basic, because its use is even more restricted than "Non-basic" and your land count is pretty low.

I'm also not convinced Bola's Citadel really fits here. It's a busted card for sure, but your average cmc is a bit too high to really go off once it hits the board. I'd probably run another basic instead ;)

Then I think you could use more draw. Something simple and unconditional like Night's Whisper. I quite like Hostile Negotiation, Moonlight Bargain and Stargaze in decks that also want to fill the graveyard. Skeletal Scrying is also nice, when you have enough cards in your graveyard, it's especially nice, because it's an instant. Also great for your type of deck are Twilight Prophet and Keen Duelist, because of your high cmc creatures.

If you're looking for cuts I'd suggest Dark Ritual (not enough value), Dread Return, Apprentice Necromancer, Doomed Necromancer (you have enough recursion), Invader Parasite (doesn't quite fit the theme).

Other cards I'd recommend: Coiling Rebirth (doubles creature etb), Final Parting (tutor creature to grave and Ruination to hand) and maybe some of the other tutors (like Insatiable Avarice) to allow you to wreck havoc on the non-basics more consistently!

What's going on with that bottle? It's ai generated, isn't it?

Not effektive in what sense? I usually run non-basic spot removal to deal with especially strong lands. Are you talking about mass land denial? Because then you'd obviously run into decks with lots of basics. So, yeah, not sure what you are trying to prove.

For what it's worth I like Wave of Vitriol to basically shut down artefact and 4+ color decks that don't run enough basics, while triggering Landfall on my side. It's green, though.

I only learned of the petition, because of the backlash to piratesoftware. Which obviously means if it succeeds it's due to them!

Just randomly got this recommended today. Really enjoyed it and now I have a new channel to binge through :D

I mean Ubisoft has probably tens of thousands of ex employees

In particular check out my little game Kevin's Path to Wizdom, which is 50% off ;)

Do you have any EDH / Commander related confessions? Have you ever cheated in the game, maybe by accident? Do you always keep Sol Ring in your hand on T1 so you don't get targeted? Do you hate full art cards?

Edit: I'm not actually opposed to watching movies with directors cuts. Just realized I love watching ridiculously long video essays about movies, but almost never watch directors commentaries. Not sure why, probably availability.

Also I heightened the phrasing for comedic purposes ;)

I'm trying to build a fun, casual Reanimator deck using Kess, Dissident Mage, but I'm having a little trouble: Moxfield Decklist

Basically the deck is pretty inconsistent and susceptible and also not very interactive. Meaning I might be lucky and reanimate a big threat turn 3-4, but it's a single threat that can be easily dealt with. And because it is a big threat, it usually is the immediate focus. While others build their board, I filter cards until I can reanimate another big threat, leaving my board pretty empty. This could be compensated with interactions, but because the deck needs enough big threats, filter/loot cards and reanimate spells, there is little space.

I run a couple of tutors to help with the consistency, but they are kind of inappropriate for the power level of the deck. So sometimes I replace them with less good draws/threats/reanimates.

I feel like my only course is to play even more impactful threats, which are expensive to get, but also increase the power level inconsistency, while making me the target, because there could be something very bad incoming at any time.

So, is there a way to keep this a casual deck, but also make it more consistent and interactive? Maybe focusing a little more on spellslinging?

Edit: In the end I came to turns with the fact that a reanimator strategy alone does not work in a 4-player game (except maybe with much stronger targets). So I build the deck a little more into the spellslinger direction, cut the Demonic Tutor and accepted that it will be a power level 6 like my other decks.

"An archaeology professor discovers an ancient crypt which contains living dead corpses. The zombies go on a rampage and attack a group of people which the professor had invited to celebrate his discovery."

IMDB

This is my favorite b movie of all time. Got it on VHS from an older friend for 5€ when I was in "high school". Its German title is "Rückkehr der Zombies", which means "Return of the Zombies". Here is what the cover looked like, roughly. It's an incredible mix of bad acting, nonsensical setups, confused pacing and surprisingly good makeup and gore. The best part is the kid, who is supposed to be a teenager at most, but is clearly played by a small adult (see here).

If you are a fan of b movies, especially Horror and splatter, this is a must see!

(Also: I love this community!)
