Actually if you check Librewolf FAQs they mention that letterboxing is especially useful when you resize the window.

Apple's business includes advertisement too though. I can agree that it is not Google, but not that it is only a hardware seller.

I disagree. Even for the average user being relegated to the Apple ecosystem is a worse situation than being in Google's one where you at least have a far broader choice of apps to use as an alternative to the stock ones.
