@proudblond I used Spoonflower for my living room curtains and I love them. The denim skirt I made with their denim? I never wear it even though it's covered in dancing gnomes.

@proudblond I'm short, so I don't want it to overwhelm my frame. Yes, it is quilting cotton, from equilter.com so it's higher quality than most of the shops, but it's still quilting cotton. They fade quickly. I have gotten swatches of Spoonflower (print on demand company) fabrics, but they are all so stiff. I can sometimes find cute prints in double gauze but it's not suitable for a fitted garment like this.

@sewing I can't seem to get a picture without dogs today. It's another Persephone from Made for Mermaids. This time, I added an inch in length to both the skirt and ruffle. This one might be too long. I'm tired of sewing the pattern over and over but these dresses are the only thing I wear now, except for an occasional jeans and tee day.

@Nooodel I then use it like an old fashioned paper pattern. Lay it on top of your fabric and cut your fabric out

@Nooodel I tape my tracing paper to the wall and have my projector on a tripod, easy peasy.

@clay_pidgin No, this is a lighter one. I don't think it would be appropriate for jeans, but it's heavier than chambray.

@Mouselemming thank you! It was a 2 yard remnant from my stash. It was a choice between pockets or ruffle and the ruffle won. I call it a win because I can't believe I made it with only 2 yards.
