So if you want to ask/discuss personal things do it under here. I want to be as transparent as you want our government to be.

Did you have much success?

My union (CPSU) is a bunch of useless boomers so I don't subscribe.

So it seems like. So I guess, the only way we can really get anything done, is by getting into power.

Well, let's do that then.

I'm Gen X. My parents have been holding me back my whole life. I know how to beat them, I've already beaten them. I know how to beat boomers.

I have children. My 9 year old is more efficient than a boomer. I know how to fix this. I can do this.

I need to do this, so my kids can think about having kids.

Anyone able to help me, idk much about politics, and all that shit. I never cared, because the system was always bullshit.

Yeah I have found the vote results to be interesting to browse at times too, good suggestion.

Yeah, I usually have a glance at the independents, check their preferences vs greens, and leave the thickest shit settled at the bottom.

Your feeling seems to mirror mine too.

Is pretty much how I vote. I feel like the difference it makes isn't worth the time investing in researching. More than asking you, and having you share your thoughts at least.

Oh this puts another comment I was reading into perspective, thanks.

Have you tried this approach?

Do you feel like the greens will give you what you want?

Who to vote for? (aussie.zone)

Hi people and bots,

Two simple questions:

  1. which party do you vote for federally? If you vote for people, which party do they align with best?

  2. why?

I've been voting in this country for 30 years, and for the last 20, it doesn't seem to make a difference beyond undoing the last governments work.. Maybe you see something I don't.

It's really hard to try and remain positive, especially when there are so many big problems getting so much attention and these are problems you can personally feel and relate to - or know someone close who can.

It goes on to create a feedback loop and your baseline can get so low that positive isn't even a thought. If you're lucky you have enough emotional support or numbness, maybe medication as well. But they can't fix the underlying problems.

One thing is for certain, the system as we know it is not sustainable, it cannot last, and it will have to change. You just cannot have infinte growth with finite resources no matter how you want to slice it.

Can it change fast enough, gracefully, remains to be seen.

Am hoping this place gets a bit busier. I do a bit of everything in the game, but all rather casually. Have been doing so since stormblood. Originally in elemental, now in materia.

Idk about favourite fights, there were so many that are favourites for different reasons. Be it the mechanics, the story, the music.

Too many characters, two with all jobs at 90 and mentor crowns.

I think it's great that add-ons exist, it's great to see the community make improvements to the game interface, that the developers take on board.

I used to be on r/ffxiv, but I'm off reddit now.
