I know it's confusing, but seriously, the DOE is the Department of Energy, please stop calling the Department of Education that.

Uh, we have absolutely not been the wealthiest country by per capita GDP that whole time. We have been the wealthiest country by GDP

It's recorded use in the 16th century I don't believe had anything to do with maritime use though. The one I'm aware of was literally someone writing that they will "touch on one topic briefly then move onto other topics"

I mean, this depends heavily on the type of bow used (which is also largely the source of confusion) it's common for archers who aren't medieval war longbow archers to draw then aim because it's a lot easier to do. And lower draw weight bows certainly did see use in war until plate armor became common enough to make them nearly useless in warfare.

If they're using indirect fire they certainly would. Such as shooting over friendly formations.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volley_fire Y'all really just make stuff up without even checking wikipedia huh? It wasn't typically used in medieval Europe for bows beyond the initial volley, though of course initial volleys were still a thing. You didn't just have elements of archer formations fire whenever they decided the range seemed right.

He was very sick for a bit and hid it for awhile so there was lots of talk about his health for a bit then he disappeared from the public eye for awhile because he was fighting cancer and recovering. He never rejoined the public eye to the degree he used to be. He was in Top Gun Maverick though which I remember being kind of a big deal because he hadn't been in much for awhile and of course had had lots of trouble with speech following the cancer I believe.

There's a reason an insane number of the people who publicly attack pedophillia are in fact pedophiles.

Just put Tumbleweed on my laptop because I was sick of Windows 11 (I used Linux in the past but haven't used it for many years). I have an Elan 04f3:0903 Fingerprint reader which is listed as supported here https://fprint.freedesktop.org/supported-devices.html Don't know how to get it working though, the Tumbleweed user fingerprint configuration I can't get working and fprintd-enroll seems to work better but all I get from fprintd-verify then is "verify-no-match (done)"

Do I need a testing branch of something or am I just doing something wrong?

I don't remember a lot of details but I remember the human race ends up allying itself with a seemingly friendly alien race that agrees to give humanity advanced medicine and technology, but with the goal of slowly wiping out humanity through slowly making the species sterile. It follows a couple that is trying to conceive but has so far been unable to and the overlords keep reassuring them thR everything is fine just keep trying but the woman does digging and figures out what is happening but it's already too late. I think there is a time travel story where humanity is prevented from either coming into contact with the aliens in the first place or is warned away from making the deal.

Thank you thank you, it's driving me crazy.
