Frankly, I'm surprised we got this deep into the cyberpunk dystopian future without seeing a high-profile corporate assassination like this.

Describing the way someone feels about a health insurance company murdering someone they care about as being "dissatisfied with the way they handle business" is top-tier psycho-brained.

Literal mob mentality. "We killed your spouse/kid but it wasn't personal, it's just business."

"Someone will always be upset about something" People died, Karen. Don't try and paper over the harm caused by the insurance industry as merely "upsetting". Rudeness is upsetting, we're talking about murder.

You're preaching to the choir, my friend!

I love the way the interface is so minimalist too. It takes a bit to get used to but it really does a good job of staying out of the way of the game.

I still play Creeper World 4 on the regular. There's something about the simulated liquid enemy faction that gives the game that same satisfying feeling as Pressure Washer Simulator.

My manager at my first job back when I was underage actually hit on me at work.. I was 16 and he was pushing 30.

It never escalated to the point I'd have called it harassment... but he was my superior and it was extremely inappropriate.

America has never had free and fair elections. And even if we wanted to change that, voter manipulation via mass and social medias and a wildly divergent educational system have destroyed the foundation of reality-based truth which is required for masses of individuals to make informed decisions and vote accordingly.

The fact of the matter is that it makes no difference if the election was "stolen" or not. What matters is how people feel, and this country literally wrote the book on propaganda and public relations. What people feel about things can be changed as easily as the script for a news report. It took less than 20 years to rehabituate the reputations of war criminals like Bush and Cheyney, and the Democrats are still seen as a left-wing party despite having moved so far to the right that they make Reagan look like a hippy.

How about wood?

It grows on trees, and if we bury it under anerobic conditions it won't rot and release the stored carbon. No need for sealants or preservatives, the wooden piles that the city of Venice was built on are still intact after hundreds of years buried in mud.

Bonus, we can drive wooden piles vertically into the earth to stabilize it. That will help us address the landslides that have become more common due to the changing climate.

Looks like a caddisfly larvae, maybe?

We'll see "real AI" in our lifetimes, but from the other direction: Simulating scanned human brains.

And I'm fucking pissed off about it.

Furries are going to have to get organized and fix the healthcare system before it can murder any more of us..
