There are no established conventions yet, you can do as you please. There are some frameworks trying to create structures, but they are in no way mandatory or even agreed upon.

I'm using a Pi 3B+ this way, booting from a usb nvme enclosure. It probably works with the 3B as well.

Netdata is free and can be run standalone. Just install it and do not configure the cloud integration. You can see your dashboard on localhost:19999

Stimmt. 2020 war die Zeit zum Glück noch nicht reif. Ohne eine ordentliche Multikrise gibt es eben auch keine rechtstolerierte Regierung...

Its still lacking a good threaded view for Lemmy content IMO. The Friendica default frontend does it much better.

I use NixOS for everything. I have a Nix flake that defines my systems (two VPS, a desktop, a laptop and a little home server) and I can modularize the config snippets that apply to the machines so I can effortlessly reuse them. Add to that the atomic updates and reliable rollback and there you have it.

I played the open-source variant on linux for a time and liked it so much that I bought it on steam. There you get the newest betas and mod workshop support.

It's quite a time killer. I like it.
