And shut down and made unplayable forever three months later.

That's exactly what I thought when I was watching that scene with that superfast dude in X Men where he saves a bunch of people by carrying them away from an explosion. They must accelerate from 1 to 1000 km/h in a mere second.

The scene is still awesome, but I don't think anyone would be alive after that.

I replayed Mirror's Edge a few days ago, with modern hardware in 4k, it still feels stunning! It has aged exceptionally well, thanks to the art style.

The only thing I did not like were the fights. They slow the gameplay and just felt tacked on as an afterthought, thankfully many fights can be avoided by simply running past the enemy.

Highly recommended!

They make The Crew unplayable in a month, without any chance to ever play it again.

And they expect me to pay 70 € for this? What?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, oh, no, you won't!

One good thing that came out of this mess was that I discovered Gamer's Nexus, information packed and down to earth. I'd rather have 20 minutes of information than 5 minutes plus 15 minutes showmanship.

Forgive me, but if there ever was a niche scenario this is it.

Dead Space. Ammunition is displayed on your weapon, health and stasis on your suit.

Prey 2016 also displayed your ammo on your gun, but had traditional health bars (it was an fpp game after all).

But I like a good HUD if it's implemented in the story, like Cyberpunk where it's a part of your augmented eyes, like an advanced Google lens. Doom did the same with the helmet.

Regarding GTA V, I never got to know the city well enough to play without a map. That fucking town was just to big for me. But I remember Vice City, I knew the map in and out, and playing without a map was fun!

And now a serious response: it ran, just before the Add-on dropped, on my 4790k and a RX6600 on 1920x1200 flawlessly with no bugs, at 60 fps on high settings. This game is now well optimized, and a fantastic experience. It took a while, but the wait was worth it!

From the article: A third idea is that they weren't objects at all. Palomar Observatory isn't too far from the New Mexico deserts where nuclear weapons testing occurred. Radioactive dust from the tests could have contaminated the photographic plates, creating bright spots on some images and not others. Given similar vanishings seen on other photographic plates of the 1950s, this seems quite possible.

I must admit, when I got my 144hz monitor I was excited, coming from a 60hz monitor. But even if a game runs at 144 fps I don't see much of a difference, many people do, but I don't. It's a bit smoother, but not much.

But if a game runs at 30 fps it's horrible. The Crew, for example, can be switched to 30 or 60 fps, that's night and day!

I just finished Fullmetal Alchemist for the fourth time, and ED3 sexualizes Winry. I guess they had to get the creepy anime viewers to keep watching.

But it doesn't fit at all. It's just plain weird. If I had one complaint, that would be it. The rest is fantastic!
