Given the broad support of abolishing or lowering ages of eligibility for marriage amongst Republican politicians, I would say the chances of that are extremely high, yes.

I follow all the trek Lemmy communities, I've seen every episode of every trek ever made multiple times, and I've played 3000+ hours of Stellaris... Yet I didn't buy this game which seems like it was made specifically for me. It just came across as a heavily lobotomized copy of Stellaris. Super disappointed in this game, it could have been a license to print money if they'd just... Tried. This is WAY worse a game than the star trek mods for stellaris.

I suppose you could threaten to shoot someone with it unloaded as you could with more traditional firearms, bluffing for self defense. But I would seriously struggle to even recognize this as a firearm in any kind of altercation, so I think that's a stretch.

What about climate change? Murder rates going down is nice, but murders impact individuals. Climate change impacts civilizations.

Absolutely. Many of our arctic islands are desirable and valuable to Russia for annexation and Ukraine has made it perfectly clear they're shameless in their conquests. I know America's sphere of influence makes it far less likely they'd snatch land across the arctic versus in Ukraine, but if it's uninhabited and remote, the American public's exhaustion on supporting Ukraine may lead them to quietly abandon the area with little fuss...

If I had to guess the answer would be time and land usage. A single humidity and temperature controlled facility could likely produce huge amounts of densely packed mycelial wood substitute compared to a huge forestry area that takes many years.

Batman swung between raised vantage points, although I'd say it's a stretch to compare that to the web swinging mechanics. The batman one was really just a single button initiated animation as you moved from one location to the other.

I'd say it's more akin to spiderman web grappling between perches like lamp posts
