Spotify is garbage. You pay them to basically pirate unlimited music (they pay table scraps). They have no values or integrity, but they do have a greedy business model.
I buy albums off bandcamp instead. Or from the artist's site directly.
Therapy is never a cure. If you have a problem then therapy can help you confront it and deal with it, but if we have a massive society-wide mental health crisis it will not be solved by each man individually seeking therapy.
We need meaning in our lives, something worth dedicating ourselves to, and the means to pursue it. Mercenary capitalism won't provide that.
In short, I don't see an answer. I think it will get worse.

Most importantly, this new wave of mental health problems is not caused by a new wave of "not being vulnerable." It's a societal issue and must be confronted there, not shunted onto each individual man.
Maybe you can host your own private instance and smirk as you block everybody while the rest of us communicate.
This nonstop suggestion of "hOst yOuR oWn iNstAnCe" is rarely a good solution. They already know it's an option. You never provide anything when you say it, except to display your own smug smirk as you tell your fellow lemurian to get lost.

Reddit and Windows

Today I installed Windows on my laptop and then I visited Reddit without being logged in. The two experiences are very similar.
I usually use Linux, so installing a new OS is really clean. You just end up with an empty operating system and you can do whatever you want.
But while installing Windows the damn program kept asking me for information and pressuring me into giving up my email address and phone number. Then when I finally got in, it's full of apps like fucking D!sney and Sp0tify... GTFO.
Then I go on Reddit, which I usually think of as a place where people post funny paragraphs and interesting questions... BUT NO... now it's just a splash page full of pictures and ads and other bullshit.
I know that you already know this, but it's sooo annoying and ugly.
I had no idea, but apparently the co-founder of Mozilla is also the creator of Brave and inventor of Javascript, and was removed from Mozilla after giving $1,000 to support anti-gay-marriage efforts. That's quite a career.
