Holy shit, that performance from Vinge was just inhuman. You can't fault Pogi, but Vinge is just on another level.

It's funny, I've noticed the yellow helmets and number tags changing teams a lot this year, so I've been following it. It's been as close as the GC!

The last time I took notice was during the Movistar trident days, when nobody cared except them.

You have to feel for Wout missing the focus on him. What a win too! Well deserved and fantastic to see him get the win for the split second it showed him!

Top two are insanely evenly matched. They're both looking spent after every stage. It couldn't be closer!

Just caught up this morning. Puy de Dome was such a great and unique climb to watch. It was such a fantastic way to round out week one of racing.

With the GC gap down to 17 seconds between JV and TP, week two is going to be epic!

Vinge looked gas yesterday and TJV burnt a few bikkies chasing the break for WvA. I reckon this one will be down to the line between Pog and Vinge.

Want to also say thanks to @Krob for putting up these threads. It's hard building a community from scratch, but it's great seeing these threads pop up consistently and reasonable participation here.

Ahh fuck. Not like this Cav. Absolutely gutted for him.

Jai, noooooo!

TJV is just so dominant right now. Very different tactics to Sky in its heyday, but same results.

How good was that stage! Holy moly. This is going to be a good tour!

[-] mallocdotc@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

And Jai is finally off the front!

Just tuned in to a very confusing situation. Hindley in the break? UAE chasing without help from TJV because TJV have riders in the break?

UAE needs to call their bluff and sit up. I'd be pretty happy if Jai took enough time against Pog and Vin today because of these tactics, with Jai winning the tour.

UAE team leader Adam Yates to be lead out by super domestic Tadej Pogacar up the Col de Marie Blanque dropping everyone except Gaudu who despite wheel sucking for the whole stage gets the Combative award.
