I'm pretty sure a significant portion would be equally offended by him having the most vanilla consensual sex in missionary position with a black woman.

The API stupidity a while back. Reddit is unusable without 3rd party clients, and inc3 Joey didn't work anymore I said goodbye to the few communities who's members might recognize my username, and proceeded to delete my account.

"Defeated" might be overstating it, but Pakistan generally overperformed compared to expectations with a smaller airforce, as they have a significant advantage in AWACS capabilities (Saab 340, I think?), whereas India is more limited, in the form of a few IL76 and some homebrewed systems in the works.

In this age of BVR capabilities and standoff munitions, airborne radar and intelligence is key to operational success, and Pakistan knows this, whereas India has taken more of a brute force approach to modern aerial warfare, something that was obsolete 40 years ago, if not before.

I'm sure I see some octarine in there too

That's because the unredacted European names are distractions from the redacted mentions of the orange lardsack.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

I don't think I've ever been called a cool and normal chad (or any of the three) before now.

Just for the record, MacOS is a descendant of FreeBSD. At least it was for quite a while.

I don't know, but I think you need to clarify what you mean by "surface", as a black hole doesn't have one. The event horizon?

I wish I was.

The 1973 Nobel Peace Prize is often cited as one of, if not the most, controversial in the history of the award.[1][2][3] Two members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee resigned in protest, The New York Times referred to it as the "Nobel War Prize", and Tom Lehrer stated that "political satire became obsolete".

As long as you have the ram to run it, I find that ZFS covers most of my needs unless I am dealing with something that necessitates beegfs. My basement server has 12 drives in JBOD, tied together with ZFS, and it works fine.

It's not unreasonable to percieve the WWW for the past 20 years, definitely 10 years, to basically being a handful of website with 90% of the users.

I for one miss the smaller internet of days past, but I've always assumed I was in the minority here, as most of my peers don't seem to care about everything being on Facebook these days.

However, as AI slop overruns these platforms, I've noticed increased interest in alternatives. As each major platform gets slopified, the sites and communities that are too small to warrant much interest from bots become more lucrative.

And as for the ones who are fine with the slop feeds who think what they're seeing is actually real, I guess we're not losing much of value if they stay with InstaFaceTwitterTok

...og det jeg reagerer på er prislappen. 50 laken er da en satans stiv pris for en enhet som gjør det samme som en bærbar PC med gratis programvare.

Jeg begynner å mistenke at jeg befinner meg i feil industri...

I got this tune stuck in my head earlier today, and I'm pretty sure it's a guitar solo. However, I cannot remember anything more than the particular motif in the linked .m4a, and I'm not even sure about the accuracy of what little I remember. The pitch might be way off too.

While I recorded this on an unplugged electric, the guitar tone that comes to mind is a distorted one with some heavy flanger and phasing effect, similar to what Kurt Cobain/Nirvana use on some songs. This causes me to believe it might be from a 90's alt rock or grunge song.

EDIT: Alternatively a very bottom heavy sound with loads of sustain, typical of the psychedelic era/genre.

I feel that this is a song I've heard a million times before, but it's been a while, so I'm sure if someone identifies it for me I will immediately go "of course, why didn't I think of that!"

To summarize, I'd wager it's from a song released between 1990 and 2010. Most likely in the rock or metal genre.

EDIT: mp3 version, for those who can't digest .m4a

EDIT: At first I thought it was Nirvana - Come as You Are, but that's not it. Tempo and groove kinda matches, though.

UPDATE: Found it! It's a tiny outro solo of Type O Negative - Black No. One (extended version), released 1993, and can be heard for a few bars after 8:57 and onwards.

One if my kids wants a Meta Quest 3 for his birthday, and I am only vaguely familiar with VR hardware, and on top of that I'm wary of everything Zuckerberg.

  1. How are the ecosystems? Does the choice of brand lock you in or out of particular titles? I suspect his main goal is to play gorilla tag and similar.

  2. Is Metaquest 3 an objectively good/decent product? What are some viable alternatives?

  3. He's got a decent phone and a half-decent PC. Will the same headset work for both?

  4. How much GPU (if any) is required to drive one of these decently?

EDIT: He's looking at the 3S version. Looks like 3 is more in line with steam frame. His birthday is mid-march.

Mine is a mix of the following:

  • Description of the route they take
  • Some specialized function
  • Some title based on their design (GettingRailed and CryoBaby, for example)

Both or one of them. And presuming they're still alive, of course.

So, because I'm a lazy fuck with an extra print sheet, I decided to go against the advice on the internet, and test how my print sheet would handle my dishwasher.

It endured the "extra power" programme just fine, as I had some pots and pans that needed a thorough clean. I threw in a tablet of a reasonably OK brand of dish washer soap.

I figured the print sheet was built to handle temperatures hotter than what my dish washer would cause, so that wasn't really much of a concern.

The water where I live is extremely soft, so I didn't have to worry about any calcium or the like.

I'm thinking that the dish washer soap is the main concern, as I'm sure some might leave a small residue to ensure nice clean-looking glassware, but I have not found this to be an issue in my case.

Prints work as well as they did after handwashing the print sheets, so all in all, I'd say it was a success in my case. I will continue to clean this one particular print sheet in the dishwasher and see if a difference becomes apparent over time.

Note: I learned recently, thanks to Technology Connections, that american dish washers are supposed to be connected to hot water. This is not the case here, and I suspect the ability to also rinse with cold water help the print sheet clean up nicely.

EDIT: Textured print sheet from Prusa, by the way.

TLDR; The video briefly goes over the history leading up to the Vela Incident, and the metrics used to identify it. A lot of data that can be interpreted as strong or weak proof, for or against is examined, and eventually lands on this conclusion: It was Israel.

Politics aside, it's still an interesting video. Alexander producing quality content as usual.

I find that I spend too much time ensuring that I get every speck of support material off the print plate long after I've removed the actual print.

When it comes to the skirt, I always set it to be two layers tall for this exact reason, and I was hoping it's possible to do the same with the support base.

EDIT: PETG on textured printsheet

I was getting rid of some spool ends the other day by manually feeding them in while printing. That way I was able to push all these ends past any sensors and into the extruder for uninterrupted printing. It came out fine but was quite tedious.

So this got me thinking: Do any of you guys splice filaments? Not only would this allow for more efficient material use, but I suspect a print made from a bunch of small segments of different colors could look kinda cool.

I'm primarily printing with PETG, so my question is specifically about that, but I'm sure the concept should work for other filaments too.
