Is this politics?

I've never seen proof he didn't fuck a couch, any more than I've seen proof Glenn Beck didn't rape and murder a young girl in 1990 (look it up if you don't know what I'm referring to, is on the wiki).

Re slippery slope, conservatives love them: for trans rights it's "I identify as an attack helicopter", 20 years ago it was "what if people want to marry their pets". No real difference in the sociopathy of those offering up the suggestion, just a new front line.

I do agree there's a line: there's on one part the paradox of acceptance or whatever it's called which is explicit. In this case we are also saying it's weird to hold beliefs that are so out of touch with reality or the people they impact. It's weird to care what restroom people use, especially for those of us in states that have removed the victorian stigma on all-gender shitters. It's weird to care what sports other people play. It's weird to make up lies about Olympic athletes in order to push your agenda of making life worse for a 12 year old in Virginia. It's all weird.

As far as I can tell it separates the base os from user changes which could break things by forcing you to use containers by annoying you to death any time you're trying to permanently install a package.

It's fine but it seems better for servers than users.

Difference between fun weird and fucks a couch weird. Ironically jd is an example of the exact slippery slope argument used by the bad weird type to fight gay marriage originally.

So tldr, since you didn't finish your thought, is that they got a grant like 3+ layers down, from the US government.

I have some news for you, or perhaps I can offer you a bridge.

  1. Find a distro, run into problems
  2. Ask for help
  3. Get asked why the fuck you chose that distro when it's obviously for super brains
  4. Repeat

I'm retroactively annoyed at the stranded but in good repair situation. But voyager failing made Battlestar a thing so....

I also think it's just a weird transition period for tv. Still had crap budgets and weird unpolished plotlines due to the need for season-long fillers. If you cut each season down to 8-10 episodes as we sometimes do today, could be a fine show.

I think you are misremembering. Chrome won at the start because it was fast as fuck and Firefox was not. Firefox caught back up in the 2016 time frame iirc and they've been back and forth ever since.

Ironically chrome was named so as a goal was to reduce the chrome of the UI and focus on the web content, something recent versions of chrome and Firefox have abandoned in favor of massive swaths of whitespace and giant chrome buttons (on Firefox you can enable "unsupported" compact mode to reclaim some of the space if you're on a laptop)
