I agree, but I also think that porn should still be welcome here. The issue is there needs to be better control over it entering the feeds, not that the communities themselves should be abolished.

Every time I hear about this movie it sounds even more unhinged

Hilarious that they did this despite claiming they would make an exception for accessibility apps.

Another great bastion of reddit content has been felled.

Another reason for redditors to leave and join Lemmy

Damn this one's old

That explains why it feels so empty, I can't find any actual content on Mastodon despite how huge it supposedly is compared to Kbin and Lemmy

Slow down man. Activity Pub is just the system that lets Mastodon, Kbin, Lemmy, etc.communicate with each other. Pretty sure it's open source and not some evil scary monopolistic thing like Chromium that every uses begrudgingly. Not everyone on the internet is a bad actor, even Kbin itself is developed by one guy in an apartment working 24/7 to try to keep everything afloat.

BREAKING NEWS! Flying car piloted by CEO Jetson Bankroll and 5 others crash into the Empire State Building! Over 2000 people reported dead or injured, passengers still missing and efforts to find them in the rubble are underway.

Wow, the only reasonable comment talking about "censorship" in this thread.
Another example I can think of is when the CCP announced that they were going to put restrictions on depicting "feminine men" in media, so I went to r/GenshinImpact to see the riots that would unfold from having their femboys taken away. there was a post about it that appeared on google but had been removed, so I went on there using removeddit and found several with over 3k upvotes each that had all been removed, undoubtedly by the mods shilling for the Chinese government.

Give them swords too, if we're going to have the first gladiator match in that thing in nearly 2000 years.

That is how 90% of the posts in the sub ended up being the same couple questions repeated ad infinitum.
