I only framed the shot; I certainly didn’t build the lobby, nor install the ceiling, and I think that’s where most of the credit should be given. This place is enchanting and I can’t even get that ceiling to render correctly on an image. Sometimes even when I don’t have a ticket, I just stand in the lobby and look up.

Thanks for seeing my work!

Ah, I maintain a membership for me and my spouse because it’s something we both cherish immensely.

I think, if you wanted to try to go inside for free, both Multnomah County Library and Washington County Library have cultural passes for the Japanese Garden that you could borrow!

It’s bright and vibrant, and is definitely art, but there comes a line where it stops being photography and is just visual art.

Still very cool to look at, the blue/orange contrast is great!

The dog can stay in the parade, the rest should fuck off.

Sadly, I only passed through a few summers ago. I would love to come back!

I completely forgot I took this, it never made it into my portfolio. When I saw the lines I forgot I framed, I was fascinated, like all the geography swoops off to the left with the train.

Thanks for seeing my work!

Amazing framing and use of color!

And I had to hold the camera very steady to get the tower in the dead center of the frame.

I played with some clever reflection practical effects to give the appearance of a giant mech, perhaps something like from Nier: Automata, coming in from the Puget Sound.

This picture was captured atop the Space Needle, but I wanted to make something decidedly not touristy.

Thanks for seeing my work!

I was once excited to play your game, but this shenanigan that was documented in other comments in this thread ensures that I won’t.

Your dishonest attempt at advertising has cost you a sale. Next time, just say “buy my game, it’s good.”

Taken from Mount Tabor, Portland, OR.

I’m pretty sure this one could just be a postcard.

Thanks for seeing this eventually explosive mountain!

Fake: wait, no, I’ve done this myself, just sober and exhausted

Oceanside, OR.

I tried to simplify this image down to its bare minimum. I think it’s entirely square too. It makes the tiny little waves and the clouds stand out a lot more.

Thanks for seeing this minimalist ocean!

And I didn’t know Seattle had some too! I gotta check this out!

It’s widely regarded as the most authentic garden outside of Japan!

I hope it’s okay if I post a piece of my photography to a major community. I worked quite a bit on the composition of this.

Thank you for seeing my work, I really appreciate it.

It just felt like the perfect thing to take an instant shot of.

Thanks for seeing my pictures! I’m so glad to see this community waking back up!

The good ol’ Arcadia Bay lighthouse.

Thanks for seeing my work!

If this isn’t the most absolutely Final Fantasy name for a place I’ve ever known.

There’s also nothing here but the sky, beating down 39°C temperatures in the middle of summer. I tried to make it look a little hopeless. I think I was also a bit dehydrated too.

Thanks as always for checking out my work!

This one is a bit hard for me to share, cause I’m sharing it with the general public, so please be kind.

I transitioned back in ‘14, and this was taken after about a year afterward. I had bet everything I had: my job, my friends, my security, my physical safety, all for the sake of being happy. I won some and I lost some. Lost my job and a lot of friends, but the world sprang into vibrant color.

Believe it or not, that picture was captured with an iPhone 6, with no editing. Just careful positioning of light sources and one fantastically relevant trick playing card. I took a hundred dollar prize for it way back in the day (which, of course, was immediately decried by some people that I shouldn’t have won, because god forbid trans people win anything ever).

I still like this piece a lot. The hand is still being played. I haven’t won, I haven’t lost.

If there was one thing I would change about this image, it would be to actually put the chips in the betting box and put the cards next to them. But I didn’t know that’s how it was done back then.

Thank you for coming to see my work, and reading about the history of it.

On my way back from a gig in Spokane, I pulled my tiny car over to the side of the highway, and captured this.

Also, it’s good to see other people posting daily in here too! I hope this community comes alive. Photography is an amazing craft.

And now for something completely different.

A quiet hotel room, two in the morning, 30 meters off the ground, in Seattle.

I did my best to keep an implication of a room, sketched through simple shapes in a void, but to put forth the glowing scenery outside.

I hope others will join me in posting their own works daily.
