Great game for drama, but that was really some pretty terrible rugby all round, with the occasional flash.

England playing ten man rugby, as they’ve largely done throughout with the exception of drubbings against the minnows. Given the turmoil in the set up over the last year,and the conditions on the night you can’t hold that against them but it doesn’t make for a great spectacle from a neutral point of view (drama aside, obvs).

South Africa were clearly hungover after last week. It was telling how the game shifted with the subs later on. I’m sure a lot of the discourse around that will be around the depth of the Saffa squad, but it looked to me more like a knackered starting fifteen playing a relatively fresh one. Ox and Kwagga the point of difference for the second week in a row imo.

Suspect the ABs win number four next week, but that way this tournament is going it’ll probably be England with a chair off the top rope.

Was hoping for more of a contest, though I think we all knew what was happening in this match before it started.

Think the try before half time ended the match as a contest, in as much as it could be described as such.

Glad I was able tune in for that. The Welsh I was watching with was less glad.

Not sure I’ll be able to catch the first game, but it’s the least interesting from a neutral point of view imo. Argentina have been poor, and wales have been pretty decent. Don’t see that going anything but a comfortable wales win.

Ireland should be too strong for the ABs, especially with Telea dropped. But let’s face it, they’re reigning RC champions for a reason. They might not be the ABS of 2015, but they’re no slouches. For Ireland, they won’t want any more injuries regardless of what happens.

Saw the score, tuned in, wished I hadn’t.

Italy tend to perform quite well against France , whether that’s cos a lot of them play their club rugby in the top 14 or neighbourly rivalry, I dunno. But that and France seeming to always play to the level of their opponents, I don’t see it being a walkover.

Genuinely bricking it for this one. Must win game, and Italy will be looking to bounce back from the dreadful showing against the ABs.

Checked the scores and saw Italy had clawed back one try. Popped the game back on to see a charge down.

Think I’ll just stop watching for the rest of the tournament
