No. Like I said, this wasn't an actual person. IIRC I believe it was just an art piece but just ridiculously creepy. Think something like Momo.

No. This image was far more unsettling than those. Thanks for trying, though.

I guess I should've been more specific. This was a photograph of what I believe I read was a very realistic bust. So, it's not a movie poster.

EDIT2: Found it.

EDIT: Since this isn't really going anywhere, here's an image a made with Stable Diffusion. It's a vague approximation of the photo in question.

I know that's not a lot to go on but a few years back, there was this image that made it rounds on many of the creepy-themed subreddits. It was a closeup of this creepy-looking face. It has blue skin with mostly human-looking features and the hair is messed up and like spiked out in all directions. The eyes are the most startling part. Bright yellow and they stare into your soul. There was a story that went with it too. Something about it being cursed and it kills anyone who looks at it. It was one of those kinds of images. In reality, I believe I read it was an art piece or something. I was just trying to tell my mom about it but I wanna show her the picture but I can't find it.

Looked at the thumbnails and it doesn't appear to be any of those. The game was just announced last year (or maybe late 2022 at the earliest), so it's likely not out yet. I believe I remember them saying it was still in early development. And yeah, I've been searching for awhile between last night and tonight. I'm also getting nowhere. I refuse to believe that I just imagined it. The more I think about it, the more vividly I'm starting to be able to picture it. I know this was a real announcement. Especially because I was watching it live on YouTube and the announcement happened not long after the reveal of Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core and a lot of the people in chat were saying how it was a great year for dwarf fans because there were now 2 really awesome looking dwarf fps games (this and Rogue Core) coming out. I'm so damn confused. Lol

Yeah, here's hoping. I just happened to be thinking about the game last night and it's bugging me that I can't remember what it was called. It looked so damn fun.

DRG came out years ago. This game was announced just last year. Also, check my edit. I remembered some crucial details.

Deep Rock Galactic came out years ago. This game was first announced last year. Also, check my edit. I remembered some crucial details.

I tried that already, unfortunately. Only 2 upcoming games have the dwarf tag at the moment. Also, check my edit I just made. I remembered some crucial details.

Return to Nangrim isn't a shooter.

[-] themightybalian@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago

No. It's not that. That's a pure fantasy game. This game was similar looking to Rogue Core, in that it was sci-ish with guns.

[-] themightybalian@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

Nah. That's a voxel game. The game I'm thinking of has very realistic graphics. Logo wasn't that colorful either. It's was a thin white font with the logo above it.

EDIT: I've only just remembered a crucial detail. The game is a highly detailed voxel game (similar looking to Teardown) and the terrain, as well as the enemies are fully destructable. I remember in the trailer, his gun was not only carving through the walls but he was shooting pieces off of the enemies too. The voxel enemies can be fully shot to pieces.

It's not Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. I remember another dwarf fps game getting announced and between Rogue Core and this game, a lot of people were calling it the dwarf revolution. I remember nothing about the game itself, just that the logo was a plain black background with the title in a thin white font and a runic-looking logo above the name. It was one word and it started with Dwarf I believe. I kept thinking Dwarfhesia but no results came up for that. Anybody have any idea what I'm talking about?
