That's usually about health insurance. Keeps their premiums down if they offer health as a benefit. Doesn't make it right, but it is not a morality thing on the firm's part.

Hey, man, there's a couple blue islands down here. At least give us a heads-up before this nuking business.

Did you ever drink Baileys from a shoe?

Neither does protectionism. I'm not saying you're wrong, but isi policies that make imports expensive also hurt the working class. Overall free trade might be fine if it's combined with a more robust welfare state.

The Big 3 in sociology are Marx, Weber, and Durkheim. If she's got a handle on Marx, especially texts like the mss. of 1844, she's got a better start than most. For Weber, The Protestant Ethic is a good starter. For Durkheim, either Division of Labor or Elementary Forms of Religious Life. Of course there's lots more recent stuff, but everyone still references those.

I've heard soccer's pretty bad with it too. Maybe badminton is the answer.

7754 is the PIT count of people homeless at one given point in time. Many, many more cycle through homelessness in any year.

The media is avoiding it...like all the media cited in this post? Or the NY Times article today discussing many of the points in those articles? Or the OP article? I'm so tired of news outlets reporting on news outlets. The news isn't news, I want actual news about events.

How many hours did you get in?

Almost 700 people have pleaded guilty or have been convicted for j6. Some of the leaders, like Tarrio, are going away for a very long time. Of course it takes a long time to bring a case against Trump himself, but the narrative that nobody's facing consequences is a little disingenuous at this point. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/30-months-jan-6-attack-capitol
