It was lower in April and March. The stock had been oscillating wildly between $375 and $225 all year and has no relation to any of the actual finances of the company. Considering that the budget bill under consideration could remove the clean energy credits that keep the company in the black, the stock should be much lower.

Some of the buyers acquiring multiple properties for investment but some are just switching homes, getting bigger houses for growing families, upgrading to better locations or downsizing empty nesters. Older folks often sell their homes to buy something without stairs or with less maintenance. I suspect that fewer people are able to ever become 1st time buyers so all of the activity among homeowners has a larger impact on the median. :(

We’re pretty dumb and ignorant. Our education system is awful and incredibly inequitable (funded by local property tax so only nice areas have adequately funded schools). I recently read that like half the country reads below a 6th grade level. And we have an overwhelming level of right wing disinformation coming from “news” outlets like FOX, OAN, etc.

Even with all that, about 1/3 of the country loves Trump like he’s a god, 1/3 hates him like he’s the devil and 1/3 is completely tuned out of politics. Shit is about to get real bad here and no one will be able to ignore the economic disaster so I think those numbers will change in the next few months.
