Most trades weren’t gonna happen until after 12/15 when a lot of players become eligible to be traded so don’t think this affects the offers too much.

Giannis Antetokoumpo and his agent Alex Saratsis are having conversations with the Milwaukee Bucks about the two-time NBA MVP's future -- and discussing whether his best fit is staying or a move elsewhere, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

A resolution to these talks is expected in the coming weeks, sources said, which will result in shaping if Antetokounmpo is available ahead of the Feb. 5 trade deadline.

Seems there must be some falling out for it to be this abrupt but article doesn’t have much info.

Klay Thompson did not hold back his thoughts about Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant following a heated postgame confrontation between the NBA stars.

"With Ja, he's a funny guy. He has a lot to say all the time, especially for a guy who rarely takes accountability. But you know what? That's for another day," Thompson said.

Asked what Morant said, Thompson replied, "Nothing of intelligent depth."

"Just running his mouth. He's been running his mouth for a long time and it's funny to run your mouth when you're on the bench," Thompson said. "It's kind of the story of his career so far, just leaving us wanting more. You know, we all want to see him out there and do his best but he's just been letting a lot of other stuff get in the way of that. We need that in the NBA, we need our best players to be out there.

To save a click it’s Miami:

So far this season, Miami is not only doing things differently — its offense is essentially unlike any the NBA has seen over the last decade-plus.

After a 110-96 win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, the Heat are 9-6 and averaging 123.6 points per game — a top-three mark in the league. Miami is doing so despite averaging only 15.5 pick-and-rolls per 100 possessions — the fewest in the NBA by a galaxy or two, per Genius Sports. (The 29th place Utah Jazz, the next lowest, are running 44.7 pick-and-rolls per 100.)

The Heat aren’t only an outlier this season, they are a historical one. Miami is deriving the least offense from picks of any team over the last 15 seasons, per Sportradar.

Instead of on-ball screens, Miami is relying on pace (first in the NBA), off-ball movement and drives to the hoop to score. And it has revived an offense that’s typically been one of the league’s most plodding.
