My guess is US air bases in Washington were closer to Vancouver so Norad activated their combat aircraft. I think this shows how tightly integrated US and Canadian air defenses are. I think we better draw up some plans in case US becomes the enemy.

CFB Comox is the RCAF's primary air defence installation on Canada's Pacific coast and serves as the home base for maritime patrol / anti-submarine aircraft and search and rescue (SAR) aircraft, both fixed-wing and rotary-wing .
So I wonder why we don't have an air base in BC.
Didn't she cut funding for fire fighting in the months prior to this fire?
How has this impacted the type of development, and price of housing in BC so far?

It is yet to be seen if this is the political front for the existing Rohingya militias, or if they will create their own militia. Depending on the effectiveness of this organization, all it means is there will be more wars and bloodshed in Myanmar.
Chinese don't look at green energy in the same way West does. It is about energy SECURITY. They don't have to IMPORT any gas or oil in order to produce it. The same goes with coal - they have it in abundance, and they will keep using it. It is the main source of their power grid.
