Running dmesg on PinePhone reveals that idiot firmware is bored.

I just tested Dactnix's image on my OG Pinephone which I have for 3 years. Switching audio when calling (meaning pausing the music when I make a call) still doesn't work. This is such a basic feature I would expect it to be solved after 3 years of development.

I don't wanna throw any shade to the Pinephone devs but do you think this phone is ever gonna be usable?

Does anyone know what's going on with pine64? There hasn't been a community update in months and it seems like announcements are dead.

Sxmo, or Simple X Mobile, is a collection of simple and suckless X programs and scripts used together to create a fully functional mobile UI adhering to the Unix philosophy for the Pinephone. You control the UI largely through using the Pinephone buttons (press different numbers of times quickly for different actions) and swipe gestures.

I just ordered the new 3gb one and am thinking it’s gonna be a portable media center/game emulator (maybe?) for social times.

Maybe even as a portable piHole? Or maybe it can do simple local work to upload to a web server

I'd really like to order this, but the website says "Linux Enthusiasts only." Do you guys think this means that its only for developers/programmers?
