i've been submitting ban appeals to reddit in which i apologize for violating rule 1 of the site, and everytime i get one submitted, reddit always reject my appeals:

"Thanks for submitting an appeal to the Reddit admin team. We've reviewed your request and your appeal will not be granted and your ban will remain in place.

If you have questions about Reddit’s policies, we suggest reading and getting acquainted with the Reddit Rules.

-Reddit Admin Team

This is an automated message; responses will not be received by Reddit admins."

do you think you should just trick reddit into thinking that i was wrongfully reported?

Late Wednesday, all human moderators of Reddit's r/art subreddit quit en masse, leaving the 30-million-member community locked and bot-run with no new posts allowed. The trigger was Clay's ban under Rule 9, which strictly prohibits any mention of sales, commissions, or prints to keep focus on art critique. Clay shared screenshots of the curt mod response and his locked view of the pinned resignation notice, calling it absurd while selling prints of the moment. The episode exposed ongoing frustrations in online art communities over rigid rules and moderator decisions.

r/Art has quietly gone into lockdown and is no longer accepting submissions after mods began facing severe blowback for banning @haydclay for mentioning the word "print" on the subreddit.

I don’t think Lemmy is any better. The other day, a Lemmy moderator didn’t like a video I shared about the potential collapse of the US and banned me from eight communities. As far as I know, the video wasn’t even AI-generated, so I don’t know where he got that idea from.

I knew it happened, I didn't realise how brazen it was...

I have got a false suspension on my main account and since not having a reply for two weeks dumbly decided to create another one, since reddit was a huge part of my social life. I tried lemmy, but the community is not that vast, and most of the things that I looked up are already well discussed on Reddit. Then I got my second account banned as well as the first one, and they never replied to any appeal. Is there a way to get unbanned, at all? Maybe someone has experience

They said it's "threatening violence", breaking Rule 1

I check my Reddit profile every few months. My old posts are back again. Must be the third or fourth time since I left the platform.

Right now I'm running PowerDeleteSuite to purge my profile. I'm so tired of this garbage that I'm starting to lean towards sending a GDPR RTBF request just to stop having to redoing this every few months.

TL;DR: A leaked Reddit admin policy change will reportedly limit accounts to moderating only one large subreddit (1M+ weekly viewers) and up to five medium-sized subreddits (100k+ weekly viewers). This is seen as a response to past subreddit blackouts over API changes, with some moderators allegedly planning to circumvent the restrictions. Here are some screenshots if you don't want to view the cancerous link:

Honestly. too little too late and for the wrong reasons. They should have done this 6-8 years ago.

I'm not going to give out my new username, but I will say it definitely worked. I used Brave web browser, not only that but I used a fake name on my email. I have since avoided a Reddit ban, and oh boy I do miss Reddit. So some rules of thumb is act like someone who is new to Reddit, don't create a new Reddit account and then start following the same subreddits you followed before. Someone who follows a bunch of subreddits after starting an account throws the red flag they know what their doing, but yeah I'm not risking using the same browser or even using Reddit app.

How do I delete all my reddit posts and comments?
they just handed me another permanent ban because I said I support Iran over Israel.

I dont want to leave free content for them, how do I remove it all?

Edit: created new account after clearing browser cache, but they banned me again.
they do this by using browser fingerprinting and ip.

no biggie - I know workarounds.
Just unplug your modem for 10 minutes - that should get you a new ip. then clear all the browsing cache. New account will work - but make sure not ever login to new account via your phone.

I have tried a few times Creating an reddit account with VPN on but always get shadowbanned. Is there anything I can do to protect my privacy from reddit?

Or is there any public reddit account shared online that could be used publicly?

Are there any open-source Reddit frontends available for Windows? I’ve seen some options for Linux and Android, but so far I haven’t had any luck finding one that works on Windows.

Something big is happening, as Reddit seems to have purged literally every NSFW sub they know. Reason is always "unmoderated" despite some of the banned subreddits being fully moderated.

Edit: seems to have been a bug in automation (thanks @lefty7283@lemmy.world):

It's still a good reminder on how quickly a community (or communities) thousands of people enjoy and in some cases rely upon can disappear.
