1ft diameter ones and like 7 inch diameter ones. There might be some random 5 in diameter one left.

I recently grabbed a bite at the Quán Ngon location on Victoria Avenue. The food was prepared extremely fast, which was great since I was on a tight schedule. The prices are fair and won't break the bank. I also really appreciated that they offer free Wi-Fi, making it a convenient spot to get some things done while you eat. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable option.

  • prices are okay
  • free Wi-Fi
  • the food was prepared extremely fast

I know that Vancouver has the Stolon Mesh project (centered around community gardens in the DTES/Chinatown) and Toronto has ToMesh, both of which have been active in building peer-to-peer infrastructure.

Without explaining more what food swapping is yet, would anyone be interested in doing food swaps?

It's on 2631 dewdney ave.

Iirc, the price for onions is 0.87 / ibs. Bought that onion, got charged 0.78. On the receipt I was billed for "1 peaches". I brought it up with the worker and he said they don't have onion in the cash register system. He paused for a moment, went over and grabbed those 2 pears and gave them to me for free and said something like sorry.

I don't have a scale, but i had gemini estimate the weight of the onion and it said 0.44 pounds +- 0.15 pounds. Water bottle cap for scale.

I just took a closer look at it today. It's lovely

I'm planning to put up some posters around the city, it'll take me a while to get around to making it and everything unless gemini can just generate one for me.

Any one wanna whip up a poster real quick? Prob good if it has at minimum:

Qr code

Would be better if it's black and white bc I'd just be using 10 pages per month of free [black and white] printing at the library, bc I'm poor.

I know other websites keep track of bed bug infestations across cities, but I don't use those websites. And they're prob worse for privacy and Foss than lemmy. So heres a lemmy Regina thread for this!

Name | address | date you confirmed | notes if applicable

Porter place | 1610 Angus st | 3 June 2026 | saw them myself, worse I've ever seen, on a basket lying next to the buiding on the lawn

I'm looking to meet and connect with people in the city. If you'd like to get together for a coffee or chat, please reach out and send me a message or post here.

I'm tempted to just post my phone number here directly, but I guess shoot me a message \ post here first.

Ive past by a tilley store on Albert St. I checked gemini, Google, yellow pages and tilley's online store, and no info on phone number.

Anyone know their phone number or any info on them?

650 rent in a 2 bdrm. I'm looking at a place near the uni.

Not that many people use Regina lemmy, but hey worth a shot!

Of the video persuasion, specifically. There are quite a few groups to be found online, but I'm not so much of a board/fighting game guy. Something online, infrequent, and low-commitment would be ideal for me personally

If people come to Winnipeg, I usually recommend the Winnipeg-unique foods: the Winnipeg style light fluffy Rye bread; honey dill sauce with chicken fingers; etc.

Is there anything that people in Regina eat that no one else does?

Or are there restaurants that only people from Regina would consider?

In Winnipeg, there's a chain called Salisbury House which isn't particularly good, but it pretty much only exists in this market and is "locally famous". This is the sort of thing I'm looking for :)
