I don't want to spend a fortune and so I'm deciding to do classic recurve over olympic since it's much more cheap. What do you guys recommend to try out? The closest archery place has this kit for $300, should I go with it or pick and choose other stuff individually to start out?

When I started I bought a things individually but probably came to a similar price so looks about right there and you get the convenience of not needing to figure out what to buy.

I would advise heading down to your local archery shop however so you can try different pull weights and get measured up so your limbs are the right length and arrows can be cut down to suit your draw. Then can then demonstrate stringing the bow and proper form too.

So $300 for this kit seems like a fair price then?

I'm not familiar with the specific kit in this deal, but it does sound like a good way to get started.

All my stuff was either unbranded or had the store's own branding on it so I still can't vouch for even now - but it served me well until I wanted a higher draw so then knew what I wanted the next time around.

Seems kinda steep for what it is IMO
