Prepare carefully mod can let you make your pawns gay. Or changing the scenario setting to make EVERYONE gay
Use Character Editor or Pawn Editor instead of Prepare Carefully. Prepare Carefully apparently fucks with the spawning code in a way that makes save files gradually rot over time as new pawns are generated, until eventually the save just breaks completely.
How long has that been a problem with it? I recall a while ago when anomaly came out the mod dev was saying they were attempting to fix some of the underlying problems with it.
Several years at least, and I haven't heard anything about it being successfully fixed. I'd still say it's not worth risking, since Pawn Editor gives you the same editing interface without the historical risk, and Character Editor has a more robust but awkward interface.
