Use a goddamned question mark.
At this point it's not so much a question as it is a statement
Invert the subject and verb and my response woulda just been a nod
Can you rewrite what you mean? My brain hurts
They mean the author should have used "you are" instead of "are you" to make it a statement instead of a question.
"are you" equals question, except there was no question mark.
