My single biggest disappointment with Lemmy is that they didn't fix the glaring NSFW/NSFL issue.

NSFL (Not Safe For Life) typically means stuff like gruesome injuries, blood and gore, or possibly fatalities

Which is different from NSFW, because sometimes you want to hear a dirty joke, bit you could do without seeing the aftermath of a Meat Crayon

So the issue is that there is only NSFW label and no NSFL label?

OK, now I know. But I mean, it's just not there yet: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/317. Everyone would have to wait for it.

Tags/Flair isn't Nsfw/Nsfl. Tags could be tedious yes, but a seperate checkmark or a seperate toggle for simply NSFL should have been made from the get go.

[-] Andrew15_5@mander.xyz 1 points 5 months ago

Well, that can't be changed now. People discuss NSFL in there, but I don't know what will be the rustler of it. Maybe it will be NSFW + NSFL tag. You can always create a new issue demanding NSFL to be treated as a special tag.

[-] Zoot@reddthat.com 1 points 5 months ago

Its not a tag. It's an option. You can even filter out all nsfw posts already.

[-] Andrew15_5@mander.xyz 1 points 5 months ago

That's my point. It still feels like a tag anyway, but a very special one. Option feels not very specific, so I used "special tag".

I thought NSFL stood for not safe for lunch.
