Hardly anything so specific. It seems to me just a joke about supporting businesses with integrity.

I love it especially in context of different comic where the shopkeeper tries to sell Everett something different than he originally asked for (followed by Everett's outburst ofc)

Yep. The fact that the store owner is willing to lose a sale to their competitor because he knows they would be able to better serve the customer never happens. I'd pinch myself too.
