Trump is a real gamer and knows AKs usually do more damage in games than their Western counterparts
I think that's to imply the AK is chambered for 7.62×39mm, which does hit harder than 5.56mm NATO.
AK-74/AKM are for 5.45x39mm, 7.62 was used for early types of AK.
Not to ‘Ackchyually’ you, but the AKM is also chambered in 7.62. The 74 was the one to bring in the intermediate cartridge.
