What are the rules for these elections?
Can you like... Sign up for more than one? Is there a rule against that?
Just sign up for as many as possible and see if you win one?

If you're not going through a party, you generally need a bunch of signatures. I checked Alabama, because it's early in alphabetical order and has three congressional candidates running unopposed, and they require signatures from at least "3% of all votes cast for governor in the district in the last election."
"Through a party" being defined as what? Is there a specific defined mechanism the parties get to bypass the rule on that smaller ""parties"" could fuck around with?
the initial paperwork and ongoing reporting requirements for a party would make that a harder feat than gathering signatures
it is intentionally difficult
