Bit closer to home this one as when I had a season ticket at United back in the late 70's, Gordon McQueen and Martin Buchan were the centre half pairing.

Sorry, this was a snide reference to the final being, in all likelihood, influenced by the corrupt official.

I've only ever seen a tape of the final, but given how they played, I can only imagine the suspension was justified.
