Chainmail too! A Roman writer even identified it as lorica gallica - 'Gallic armor'. Caesar writes glowingly of Gallic architecture and craftswork in his Commentarii, and discusses how several Gallic polities have government structures that resemble that of Italic and Greek city-states.
