    No, it does depend on instance admins for how it is used. Viewing Mona Lisa doesn't make every tourist its owner.

    Much of the spying on people is done for monetary gains, which would be illegal if the platform doesn't sell the rights to the content.

    E.G. Reddit sold comment usage rights to OpenAI for $60,000,000 USD.

    Phew! I’m so glad you told me that, because we know no company or individual ever did anything illegal. DuPont hasn’t poisoned the whole planet, and OpenAI didn’t admit stealing content is the only way their business model can work.
