The thing is, no matter how good the intentions, without a communist party with support from the people, you simply can't make meaningful lasting change. Expecting progress from liberal democracy is simply historically proven to be almost impossible (unless through vast unionisation and with the looming threat of communism, as in the case of Europe after WW2)
