If people in the global south don’t overthrow their government they’re lazy, and if they do that’s authoritarianism
neither Chinese authoritarianism nor reactionary American imperialism offers a progressive way forward.
This is the most politically illiterate sentence I’ve read so far this year, it reads like something written by a 19 year old who just learned of the existence of these words a week ago
If we don’t publish CIA propaganda, then they’ll stop giving us their propaganda to publish!
Who’s next?
You. You’re next. In line. Now please look into this lens here.
I thought capitalists justified themselves by bragging about taking on all the risk. Sometimes things don’t pan out, that’s how risk works. Deal with it and quit whining, or better yet, get a real job.
San Francisco is basically a wholly owned subsidiary of tech companies. If they wanted to experiment with detonating explosives inside crowded bars the city would find a way to let them do it
That's the "adults in the room" style libspeak
Maybe the cop had a preexisting medical condition
Then they should be happy when they meet the staff from the mom-and-pop-run reeducation camps
Does this mean it's open season on an American drones in international waters near Iran as well?
I don’t really like this framing because, intentionally or not, it presumes the existence of an omniscient and omnipotent objective third party that calls the shots on what is and isn’t fair and holds different actors to account. (Liberals think this is the UN but they forget the second criterion of this entity requiring actual power.)
The reality of the asymmetrical relationship means that declaring open season on American drones at this point will invite an extremely disproportionate response in exchange for vanishingly little achievement of broader goals.
Don’t you know that the prices of goods and services are exactly the same everywhere on earth?
