The first time I played FFVI was in the Final Fantasy Anthology on PS1.

I had bought it earlier in the day, and couldn't play until later that evening. I decided to pop it in and check it out before going to bed.

The second I heard this song, I was floored. It evoked so many emotions.

Yea, it has a boldness to it, and making it the overworld theme really ties a lot of the disparate elements of the game together.

With how innovative the game was in bringing so many complex narratives to gaming, often for the first time ever, it was a lot of people's (mine included) first introduction to some of these complex topics as a child.

This song, repeating the whole game through, is the most unifying element.

Would appreciate composer names in either the title or the post, for recognition of their hard work.
