put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

Remember last election when, in the final days, biden promised a huge amount of student debt relief (he lied)

At least we got a fraction of the covid stimulus he promised (then he killed like a million people by ending lockdowns)

Now we get NOTHING, not a promise for climate change action, or healthcare reform, or the promise to do less genocide and war. Not even a promise to take executive action on women's rights (the senate isn't going to pass a bill, and I feel like everyone secretly knows this). Shit's bleak in burgerland

Woah sweaty, biden tried to cancel student loans!

When the supreme court said "nuh uh" he put up his hands and said "I did all I could, Jack" and we praised him for it.

if ever there was a time to pick a fight with the SCOTUS it was over student loans. The conservative court's justification to overturn the loan forgiveness was the worst legal argument to come out of the court in our lifetimes. like the conservative justices were so head in ass they forgot about standing.

[-] ziggurter@hexbear.net 20 points 4 weeks ago

At the same time, Biden invited it by choosing just about the worst basis for the loan relief. He literally could've just ordered that the Department of Education forgive it, and it probably would have been on far, far sturdier ground than that dumbassery. Why would he do anything to challenge an outcome he so obviously wanted?

That shit makes me feel insane, he's literally the boss of the secretary of education and they tried basically nothing and then gave up. And people still hand it to them! The lack of imagination liberals have is seriously depressing. These people live hollowed out, empty lives devoid of any legitimate hope or vigor, content with their allowance of imperial treats and the endless "aw shucks, well... next time for sure!" as everything decays around them.

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

And they get SO ANGRY if you point out what is actually happening right in front of their face. Why hasn't Biden carried through on any of his problems? HE PERSONALLY CREATED ALL OF THOSE PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PLACE ON PURPOSE AND HE IS NOW "DEFENDING HIS LEGACY"! And it doesn't matter that it's all public record, there are endless articles explaining it, there's no question about it at all, they just rage and call you a tankie and deny deny deny

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

Which, I cannot stress this enough, he did on purpose because undischargable student debt was his baby in the first place. BIDEN DID IT! BIDEN DID IT ALL! BIDEN IS THE GREAT ARCHITECT!

I remember watching the DNC in 2020 because I'm twisted like that and the whole messaging was completely different, it was basically Biden (who was still blatantly in a state of mental decline) saying "Listen, Jack. I'm gonna end racism, fix climate change, cure cancer etc etc".

Obviously it was all a pack of lies to anyone paying attention but it's crazy how the DNC this year was pretty much all just militarism.
