I'm new to cryptocurrecy and I'm wanting to finally start using Monero. At least a year ago, I heard it was possible to buy XMR completely anonymously using Amazon gift cards bought from retail stores using cash, but I can't seem to find any information about that online anymore. From what I've heard, you can use your XMR to get some kind of card which you're able to use in place of a typical debit mastercard and thus be able to buy groceries using Monero.

I would appreciate if anyone could direct me to recources on how to do these things; most importantly the part about buying the XMR anonymously with cash in the first place.

Are you savvy enough to use haveno reto application? I would recommemd that. can send you some monero for a amazon gift card in return. Once I confirmed claim I can send you monero. 100 aud. Yeah the issue of trust is an issue.
