Nobuo Uematsu carried hard with his music. Squeenix hasn't been the same since he left the company
Completely agree. That being said, they still have Masayoshi Soken, and he is easily in the top 3 modern Video Game Composers.
So much of my emotional investment in FFXIV is enhanced by the music, especially in Endwalker.
