By Wednesday, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business had estimated that the postal strike, which began on Nov. 15, would have cost small- and medium-sized businesses more than $1 billion.

How much would it have cost to just give them what they want, I wonder? kyle

It's setting the precedent of respecting workers that they fear most.

I know it's about more than money to them, but it personally annoys me whenever there's media coverage of a strike and they say ”it's costing businesses X amount of money”. Yeah, that's the point of a strike, good job.

more, because if strikes work, other people would try it, and then where would we be? we might end up with a democracy! cant have that.
