In the years leading up to covid, I was a caregiver for my grandparents and watched them slowly lose their minds before they went. My grandfather was especially bad at the end. So my two biggest fears regarding covid are the death of Herd Immunity, which we're watching occur, and this shit. 
One of the last things I saw before leaving Twitter again (I rejoined for a bit back in October because I was angry about electoral politics) was abled leftists scolding disabled leftists who criticized leftist orgs for not taking COVID seriously. How many horrors do we have to see from this goddamn virus before people start taking it seriously?
Between all the recent news about COVID and H5N1 I'm finally going to invest in a bunch of N95s, I think. I tried to avoid non-reusable masks for a while because I'm on disability and every expense has to be justified, but...
shop around and you may find some on short dated masks on heavy discount. often these will still have 6 months before expiry and are probably still fine to use afterwards anyway.
