Members of Radiohead have been getting flak in the wake of Israel’s indiscriminate war crimes against the Palestinian people. But, like Israel’s continued occupation of Palestine, these critiques aren’t new: Radiohead have performed in Israel a few times, including one 2017 performance in Tel Aviv that many protested. But more recently, Jonny Greenwood — whose wife is Israeli artist Sharona Katan, a vocal supporter of the country’s military campaign — put out an album in 2023 with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa, which raised some eyebrows. And tonight, during his solo show in Melbourne, Thom Yorke walked offstage after getting heckled by a pro-Palestine protester. It’s hard to tell what exactly the protester was yelling, but he did mention the Palestinian death toll, which some have estimated now exceeds 200,000. Yorke responded: “Don’t stand there like a coward, come here and say it. You wanna piss on everybody’s night? OK, you do. See you later, then.” He then took off his guitar and left the stage.

A little bit later, though, Yorke re-emerged to perform the set’s closing song, “Karma Police.” That’s fitting. See some audience clips below.

Former UKIP member Rob Ager shifts away from his usual content making dumb movie analysis videos and focuses his attention on politics. This won’t be too bad, right? Ehh…

Video: https://youtu.be/umVQpAer1BU

These chapters are pretty wild:

I think Ager is my new favorite type of guy where his political “positions” are this:

“There are songs from the past that I no longer feel comfortable singing. I love ‘Run Like Hell’. I loved the music I created for it, but all that ‘You’d better run, run, run…’ I now find that all rather, I don’t know… a bit terrifying and violent.”

That’s the point of the song, Gilmour! You worked on the album! lol

The guitarist added: “‘Another Brick In The Wall’ is another one I shan’t be doing. I don’t think I’ve done that with my own band, but I certainly did it in the post-Roger Pink Floyd, against my better judgment. The same with ‘Money’. I won’t be doing that.”

He probably unironically believes the things Money is poking fun at. lol

I do hope they vote out their LIB leadership since workers were allowed to cross the picketline to help load military weapons.

I don't know why JT from Second Thought continues to associate himself with these people.

Ocasio-Cortez did not directly call Israel’s military action a genocide during a “Meet the Press” interview in late January as she sidestepped a question about whether using the term was going overboard.

“Some of your colleagues have accused the president of supporting genocide, including Rashida Tlaib. Do you agree with that word, genocide, that the president’s been supporting a genocide, or does that go too far?” host Kristen Welker asked her during the interview.

Ocasio-Cortez replied that the young people throughout the country were “appalled at the violence and the indiscriminate loss of life.” She cited a recent United Nations’ International Court of Justice decision that stated Israel has a responsibility to prevent a genocide.

“They are still determining whether it’s a genocide. Do you think that term is responsible given it’s still under investigation?” Welker pressed.

“I believe that they are. They’re still determining it. But in the interim ruling, the fact that they said there’s a responsibility to prevent it, the fact that this word is even in play, the fact that this word is even in our discourse, I think, demonstrates the mass inhumanity that Gazans are facing,” the congresswoman replied.

Yes, a man who hates Marx and Marxism is the most "vindicated" man alive. Dude writes articles that are sometimes good, that's it. lol

The reason movie theaters switched from reel projection to digital projection was to undermine the projectors' union since digital projection can just be automated.

Popular media whether it's music or film or whatever is decided by studios and labels as opposed to organic popularity. (Obviously not all cases are true, but I feel there's a lot of cases where it is true.)

He made a video called "The First World 'Left' Will Never Matter Again - The Hard Truth You Need to Hear", which is NOT a very good video. He told people in first world countries to move abroad instead of staying and trying to change material conditions.

Also in the comments of the video, he downplayed what is happening with Cop City as “sitting in a forest in Atlanta” and said “No one outside the us should waste any energy on thinking about them. They sure don’t think about us.” when someone asked for international solidarity regarding it.

Dude won't even join an org.
