I always loved that this band uses a live drummer and bassist. They were a huge influence on my IDM tastes.

I've loved this guys music for like 15 years. He used to be half of the duo Holy Ghost! so if you like this check out their albums. He just started releasing more music and i felt joy again. HG! also has a shitload of great remixes. They were on LCD Soundsystems label if that helps context.

I'm transliterating the title as it's spelled in the official music video: Айт-айт, лаппута!

However, other spellings of the song's name I've seen include "Æйт, æйт лæппутæ" (Æit, æit læpputæ) and "Гъæйтт-гъæйтт, лæппутæ" (Hæitt-hæitt, læpputæ) — лæппутæ (læpputæ) apparently means "boys", from лæппу (læppu, "a boy") + -тæ (-tæ, regular pluralizer). ironau.ru also says that гъæйтт-гъæйтт means "with all one's strength".

Валерий Сокуров / Valery Sokurov is the Russian form of the musician's name. The Ossetian form is Сохъуырты Валерий (Soqwyrty Valery).

This 1993 stage production was my introduction to Porgy and Bess and is my perennial standard for such a beautiful opera, but the more I listen to Audra McDonald's production the more I love it. They take the best parts of Gershwin's style and turn them up to 11. The real brilliance of his music and the radical beauty of black opera come out in the duets between McDonald and Lewis.
