Parenti was not only a very good academic communicator who could engage with what people at the forefront of various areas of study of history, political theory, and the humanities were putting out, but famously also a writer that could take the obscure knowledge available only to bourgeois academics and make it accessible to the masses. He was famous, too, for the incredibly detailed footnotes in his written work. If you think he's a crank who was doing revisionist history, being dishonest about his sources, or otherwise not up to some intellectual standard, he was exceedingly good at handing us all the tools to find those mistakes. Can't really say most bourgeois academics even do 1/10th of what Parenti did to make that level of intellectual work accessible to working class people.

Yeah man, like academia isn't filled with cranks who just so happen to agreed with the current order of things. Maybe work on excising western academia of people who were directly given donations by Jeffrey Epstein or any of his associates instead?
