MODERATORS

r/Lemmy has a single moderator, u/MarcellusDrum.

r/RedditAlternatives has a few:

  • u/ryan_II
  • u/RedditWater7
  • u/RedditLiquid8
  • u/Madbrad200
  • u/Dukkani
  • u/Zakku_Rakusihi

Are any of them active on Lemmy? These subreddits are proving to be key spaces for onboarding new users to Lemmy. Might it be prudent to establish good relationships with these people?

None of them seem to be particularly active in the above communities. It would be nice if they could swap out some of the pinned threads, many of which contain outdated information.

If you told me r/RedditAlternatives was operated by Reddit employees it wouldn't completely shock me. But a more likely explanation for why there is no "Fedi consensus" there is that because Lemmy/Piefed is the best option, the people who try it out are more likely to actually leave Reddit.

In short, there are people trying to "make Discuit happen" because unlike Lemmy it's well, not happening.
