  • Credit to atomicbocks for being there first
  • Small note here; while bell labs had retained the logo, BellSouth and providers in Canada also used the logo.

I'm wondering if there was less access to logos and information at the time? There might be stuff we don't know as well. Still a strong statement.

Addidas was on the list? Do they do some back handed stuff I don't know about?

To start, it was founded by a literal Nazi

Holy shit.

Before Rudolf was released, Adi had to appear before the denazification panel. The result was announced on 13 July 1946: Adi was declared a Belasteter, the second most serious category of Nazi offenders, which included profiteers, and could lead to a sentence of up to 10 years in prison for those convicted.[39][40] The immediate threat was that he would be removed from management of the firm.

His early membership in the Nazi Party and the Hitler Youth were not contestable. On appeal, he amassed a portfolio of testimony attesting to his good conduct during the war. Adi's staunchest supporter was Herzogenaurach's mayor, who the Allied forces trusted.[41]

I think this is just a list of American Corpos, to fill out the square; regardless of individual action/intention.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 months ago

Maybe? A lot of them are pretty evil.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

why is playboy on there?

not really defending porn but... don't really see it in the same category as the rest

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Adbusters were culture jammers. Around this time the playboy logo was popular on clothing.
