Is it true that lemmy.world logs info to a Discord channel? (hexbear.net)

I head one of our (beloved) admins (@CARCOSA@hexbear.net I belive) say that lemmy world logs info to discord and does other privacy violating things? If so, that's really bad. Can anyone give me the full story (and ideally evidence) to clear this up?

lemmy.world wants to really be the next reddit so it's best to just to avoid it if possible
