If you like Psych I'd recommend High Potential. Very similar but stars Kaitlin Olson (from it's alway Sunny) as a single mom with high IQ helping the police.

I used to love Psych but, after binging a season or two, it was too "one note" for me and couldn't keep my interest. Similarly, for High Potential, it couldn't keep my attention once I found out that it's almost another take on Psych's formula.

There's a popular French series with the exact same pitch, HPI. I don't know which one is the rip-off though.

I loved Psych when it was airing and enjoyed the movies, but binging the show just makes me dislike Shawn.

The way he treats Gus stops being funny for me when it's just constant.

I had the exact same response. I still love it, but Shawn's so incredibly narcissistic that's it's tough to love him. I treat it the same way I treat Bojack Horseman: I can hate his character and still find him hilarious and compelling.
